The protection of a building or a site may need one or several SATELIT + G2 depending on the required protection level and the area to be protected.
The installation of a lightning protection system must follow the rules defined in the risk assessment study when requested.
Therefore, a typical installation has one or several SATELIT + G2 put at minimum 2 meters higher than the highest level of the building, the area or the structure to be protected.
Each SATELIT +G2 is directly connected to the ground by one or more down conductors.
Internal or external metal masses located close to a down conductor must equipotentially be linked to it.
The earthing system must be in accordance with the lightning current flow. A crow's foot shap is recommended which must be equipotential with the earthing system of the electrical installation.
